The next morning....I start running around to see what I've missed, and hope that I can get things done in time. Things have been a bit slow and painful since I have a hemorrhoid flare up on Sunday.... Things get a bit frantic, when I was sure I had laid out all my clothes for that morning, but I can't find the underwear I thought I had picked out...
In the end, the main thing that got forgot was my Xyrem alarm (Hydas Under Pillow Alarm, Silver). I had purchased an extra for my CPAP bag, but not sure where that got put. Fortunately, the back up alarm (Invisible Clock II
) is still in my other bag and it still has power.
I head out a bit before 4:30am, and find Black Car waiting and ready to take me to the airport.
The flights were pretty good and uneventful, where an acceptable aisle seat was assigned for the DFW to LAX flight. The only hassle was my underseat roller bag getting unpacked and repacked by security. So much for neatly packing my clothes in it.
The flight from MHK to DFW was fuller than I expected, though still lots of room and nobody in the window seat next to me. Also the DFW to LAX flight wasn't totally full. Though I found in the flight back that some of the middle seats aren't seats, so guess it was an illusion.
During the DFW to LAX flight, I opt to use up another one of my free gogoinflight uses, and use most of the time catching up on Facebook.
Arrive LAX early, I'm to meet my cousin June by baggage claim...I stop use the bathroom and to dress up and I get down to baggage claim a little before my scheduled 10:20am arrival time. She's not there, so I look around outside on the street, where apparently they had just pulled up. So, I'm off to my busy day.
Not going to say much about the funeral...except that I got hit with a bit of my mild cataplexy twice during it. Once while watching the casket get wheeled out to the hearse (what used to be my mysterious knee weakness thing), I had declined to be a pallbearer, so it has 3 men and 3 women...where they wanted the men on the ends. They had some struggle lifting the casket off the cart and into the hearse, good thing I wasn't anywhere near that...
The other time was while getting in to place for the graveside service.
